Hi all. I somehow documented one project that I consider successful. It is a very flexible prototype board
for ATMEGA8. Take a look at http://speleoastronomy.org/elektro/FlexyBoard.html
and comment if you like.

If anybody is interested, I can provide more information, including some software libraries and a
complete video guide for making this board at home.

Currently I am using MSVC+WTL and/or C# to communicate with a board and quite a lot of compatible
hardware, including LCDs, thermometers, light meter, stepper motor controller etc. with software examples.

The final goal of all this work is to make something that could be called PLC at home - a simple board for
home automation and such, with a PLC compatible graphical programming language. However I am not sure
that this board is good for this task. It requires too much drilling and it can not handle the filesystem on
SD card (but it can write logs on SD). So here is the general question for all home PCB makers: what is
worse - more SMD components or more holes in a board ?
