I don't know where to start. Help me please

Hi! I'm new at this, I don´t know where to start, I can´t comprehend how works USB communications. I want somebody help me and guide me in this issue. Where I'm studying there isn't any proyect wich I can read to begin. This is an interesting topic and I like to teach to others how to develop circuits by USB comunicassion to the PC.

I want to transmit and receive any kind of data. Please teach me I find it very difficult.

thank you for your help. Well I've downloaded the zip file. I'm working with CodeVision Program to make the code but I don't know where goes each thing of the zip file(vusb). If anybody has a simple proyect who wants to share it with me, I'd be so grateful.
