Works on some computer and not on others, Why?

Post by jaikumar » Fri Mar 18, 2011 2:59 pm

Hi all,

I built a circuit like powerswitch project. The only thing changed is that
the circuit draws supply from USB. There are no components which consume current other than what is required to make USB work.
It works well on some computers and fails to enumerate on others, says unknown device. Tested on computers using windows xp and vista.

Any Ideas?

Thanks and Regards,
jai.

Can there be difference in position of D+ and D- pins. Will it work if they are interchanged.
Will test it.

Some thing like this was posted in microchip forum.

Regards,
Jai.
