how to debug avr targets ?

Post by Byemi » Tue Feb 11, 2014 11:22 am

Hi all.I'm new in the forum and at the same time new with this type of avr programmer (AVR-Doper). In the future i will like to make this programmer by my self, but reading the features list i saw this "Second USB to Serial converter for processing debug output from the target.".Is it really possible (I mean does the debug method works well ?) ? If the answer is affirmative, which is the default baud rate and if is it possible to change it ? Further more i will like to beg you to tell me what pins I need to connect to debug the target program (how to interface the target with the programmer -- for example the target is atmeg328--) ? Almost forgot : does anyone has a list of compatibles avr targets for this type of programmer AVR-Doper ? Any help / suggestion will be very helpful .
Thank you very much.
Best regards,Emi.
