hidkeys and MacOS - identifying the keyboard

Post by Guest » Fri Dec 05, 2008 1:48 am

hi,

When I plug an HIDkeys device into an imac, I get a series of dialogs which attempt to "identify" the keyboard. For instance, it will ask me to press certain keys.

Does anyone know to avoid this configuration step? I assume there is some sort of USB message that the device needs to send or respond to

thanks...

As far as I know, Mac OS X does this if it can't identify the keyboard otherwise. You can just ignore this dialog if your keyboard does not have these keys.
