Recently opened documents and El Capitan

Post by MDD » Tue Aug 18, 2015 12:31 pm

Hey there!

I've noticed that the recently opened documents for apps don't seem to work for me for some apps, especially TextMate. There's also no 'right arrow' for these apps in LaunchBar and using the right arrow on them (which I'd expect to show the recently opened files) only shows the bundle's content. Is this a known issue? Any workarounds, like reindexing? (I've tried reindexing Applications, but that didn't help)

This is in fact an issue related to El Capitan. The location for the 'recent documents' information is totally different now
(To be exactly it changed to
~/Library/Application Support/com.apple.sharedfilelist/com.apple.LSSharedFileList.ApplicationRecentDocuments
instead of
~/Library/Preferences/com.company.application.LSSharedFileList.plist)
so we have to adapt to this change and make it work again with the next upcoming LaunchBar release.
Cheers, Simon

Any chance a version with this fix can be released, even a beta? Not having this for months has been really infuriating…

Works for me now in 6.8.

(Sorry, my account was inexplicably banned for a while so I couldn't respond)
