I have a RTF document that is formatted as a bulleted list. I can use LaunchBar to append text to the document but it does not insert it into the list so that the new text now is a separate line with its own bullet, but instead as un-bulleted text below the list.
Is there any way to append it directly into the list? I’m guessing no but never hurts to ask.
And Merry Christmas from Texas, y’all!
Can I append text to a list?

Ah, yes. Hm. Sorry, I should've thought of that built-in feature.
I don't think we can trick the "append text" function in LaunchBar to do that by itself.
If you just want to use this feature on a single file however – say, a todo list – I can write a script that appends a bulleted line to that specific file only. So you'd search for the script, say "New Todo", hit spacebar and type your text.
That's a nice exercise as it seems to be way more complicated than it looks… I took a glance at a RTF document and the syntax for a list item looks like

Code: Select all
\f0\fs24 \cf0 {\listtext \'95 }Test\
