More unusual wildcard

I think it would be better to use something more unusual than * for the search string wildcard.
I wanted to add to my search and I saw that they already use * in their search: ... &la=*&li=*

  1. You can use %s instead. It takes precedence over the asterisk, so if your tempate contains both, the %s placeholder will be used.
  2. Only the first asterisk is replaced with the search string. Since the order of the arguments is irrelevant, you can always put the placeholder argument at the beginning.
  3. In this particular case the la and li arguments seem to be optional (the asterisk appears to be the default value), so you can simply omit them and use* for the search template.
