Using the same webyep object on several pages

Post by saulitude » Tue Nov 13, 2012 6:26 pm

I would like to use the same object on several pages. This seems impossible: if I reused the object id, a new instance is created in the data folder... Is it really impossible?

Hi
if you want a webyep item to have the same content on multiple pages, all you would do is apply true to the global setting
so this short text item would change from this:

Code: Select all

<?php webyep_shortText("Fieldname", false); ?>

to this

Code: Select all

<?php webyep_shortText("Fieldname", true); ?>

The global setting can be found in almost all the webyep items and can be seen within the dreamweaver action panel Its a drop down field called Content: for this doc only
as per the image below

The Dreamweaver inspector showing the Short Text Element's attributes

kind regards max
