Work locally on a Mac

I would like to develop a Webyep system locally on a MAc. I have downloaded MAMP but cant make it work. Is there an idiots guide somewhere? Or better still is there a simpler way of displaying webyep locally?

There are loads of guides on the web. Just ask Google. :wink:

You can also put your WebYep folder into ~/Sites (~ is your home directory) and enable Web Sharing (Preferences --> Sharing).

here is a quick instructions on how to get MAMP light working on your mac
its based on an older MAMP but its basically the same

Unfortunately this will not work out of the box, because php is disabled by default.
You could enable php if you uncomment the LoadModule php5_module in your http.conf, but even than I had some issues in the past, mostly because once in a while the WebYep data folder locked to chmod 755 (in the good old OSX 10.4 days).
