Hi All,

I have installed xampp and transferred a website accross to a local folder but there isn't any content being displayed.

Could someone please tell me if I need to change the path to the dat files if so where do I make the change (and what to?)

the path to my local site is 127.0.0.1/foldername/ that is loading the index.php but without any content

Help!

Thanks
Tony

Yes, you'll have to do this, when the paths change.

Open the file /webyep-system/data/documents in a text editor (e.g. notepad.exe on Windows).
Assuming, that the online version of the website was in the root folder, you will see something like this:

Code: Select all

/index.php      1
/somePage.php   2
/anotherPage.php        3
/about.php      4

When the site is now located in a subfolder named 'foldername', you'll have to adjust the paths in /webyep-system/data/documents accordingly:

Code: Select all

/foldername/index.php   1
/foldername/somePage.php        2
/foldername/anotherPage.php     3
/foldername/about.php   4

Please make sure, that there is a TAB character between the path and the number, not just spaces. Also make a backup copy of the documents file, so you can start over when something goes wrong.
