Upgrading a site containing Webyep pages in RW5

Post by MortalWombatUK » Fri Dec 03, 2010 10:52 am

Hi there,

I have a few sites set up with RW4 that contain Webyep pages. I have bought RW5 and before I update the sites to RW5, I wanted to get a sense of what I might need to do to ensure that content already added to my sites via Webyep is retained when the site is updated to RW5.

Any tips or guidance greatly appreciated!

Mark

p.s. My pages are pretty standard and don't contain any Pluskit, @import, 3rd party themes etc... and RW5 has been running great for me (I mention this because the RW forums seem full of folks having issues with some of the aforementioned customised content). My concern is that I don't want to lose any of the content added to the sites already via Webyep (I have latest 1.5 version).

Mark,

create a backup of your webyep-system/data folder. The whole content is stored in this folder. To play safe, also create a backup of your .php files.

I do not know any additional tips, but I am not an expert on Rapidweaver!
