Upload Problem

Post by Grifonicus » Wed Sep 01, 2010 7:04 pm

I am having a problem uploading and storing images and text.

It is possible that I have not set permissions. Could anybody explain how I set permission for read writing etc.

Many Thanks in Advance.

When using Dreamweaver you can use the "Prepare WebYep"' command from the "Commands" menu. Select the webyep-system folder in the file list of the server (remote files) and activate the command.

If your using some other FTP client application, it depends. Most apps offer some kind of "info" about selected files or folder of the remote server. in that info panel you can usually set the permissions.

You need to set the permissions of the webyep-system/data folder to 777 (read, write and execute for everyone) on most servers. On some servers 755 (write only for owner) is sufficient.

If in doubt, contact your ISP and ask what permissions to set on a folder so that PHP can create, write, read and delete files in that folder.
