Automatic image slideshow

Post by dudematters » Fri Jul 23, 2010 10:05 am

Is there someone who created an automatic image slideshow in WebYep? One of my customers using webyep would like the images on her homepage to rotate every x seconds. The images are set in webyep. Perhaps someone has done this before and would like to share this?
I am not looking for light box effect, they are just images on a webpage that need to be rotated every x seconds.

Hi

Not sure what you are creating in I use Freeway 5 pro and I have worked on a number of sites integrating slideshow controlled through webyep.
see http://st-marthas.co.uk/ for one example.

The slideshow is created by using the target show layer action with the sequence timer. Each of the layered divs contains an image element which is global. There is also an admin section of the website allowing the client to upload appropriately sized images into the same global image areas.
I also use this area to allow the client to add keywords.
Hope this helps

I am using Coda (text editor OSX). Perhaps you've missed my question above, can you please help me with some code?
I did not use <div> layers on the site (http://www.listenup.be) but plain tables.

Thanks in advance,
Dick.

i think you can do very individual this with and is not to difficult.

in webyep you can handle this with a loop element:
each panels ist one loop with an image,
so your client can use ist with 1 or with 20 pictures…

Hi Alphatier,

Sorry, I am very new to this, can you show me what I need to do? My page is built on tables, not div's;

Code: Select all

...

<!-- Photo 1 and 2 (<IMG WIDTH=250 HEIGHT=250 ID="myImage" NAME="myImage" SRC="images/image0.gif"></IMG>)-->
<tr>
   <td colspan="4"><?php webyep_image("home_foto1", false, '', "", "", 397, 399, false); ?></td>
   <td colspan="2">&nbsp;</td>
   <td colspan="8"><?php webyep_image("home_foto2", false, '', "", "", 397, 399, false); ?></td>
</tr>

...

I understand to put the javascript code in the header for the fade element, but I do not quite understand how to add the loop element here so my customer can add their pictures....

I'd like to know how to do this with the loop element?

Could you explain further?
