Source Code

Post by keithhulse » Wed Jul 14, 2010 3:14 pm

I know this will have been asked before but why when I go to a PHP page with the init code in am I seeing the source code of the page as opposed to it being rendered?

Many thanks,

This is usually the case when PHP is not available, not activated or configured wrongly on that server.

You can test this with this little example code:

Code: Select all

<?php
   echo "Hello world";
?>

When you put this in a test.php file, upload it to the server and call the page up in your browser, you should only see the Hello world and not the PHP source code.

If you see the PHP code, contact your ISP.
