Change Editor

Post by daviddelmonte » Sun Jan 03, 2010 8:22 pm

I have installed WebYep ok and installed TinyMCE as the editor. I'd like to change to FCKEditor to show a client.

I have installed the package and init file.

However, when I try to edit the FCKEditor is a blank window.

Moving back to TinyMCE is fine.

Am I missing how to use FCK... I am using Rich Text.

Thanks

David

Installing FCKEditor should work similar to TinyMCE.

You would need to rename the TinyMCE folder to something like "tinymce.disabled" to make sure WebYep uses the installed FCKEditor.

But an empty editor window usually means there is something severely wrong.

Please activate the debug mode of WebYep - to do so, change the line containing the debug setting in the config-inc.php to:

$webyep_bDebug = true;

Then WebYep should display some error message instead of a blank page.

When switching back to TinyMCE, please to not remove the FCKEditor folder but just rename it and post the URL to that folder so I can check it. (something like http://www.mywebsite.xx/webyep-system/p ... r.disabled)

Hi Johannes, thanks for the answer. In fact I reinstalled the webyep system and now everything is working. Really liking this product.

Thank You.

David
