Can I add WebYep to existing website

Post by suburbeon » Tue Nov 24, 2009 6:14 pm

I just finished a website built in Dreamweaver and my client is now asking to CMS to certain pages. Content is already in place and it is about to go live. I come from a design background and CMS was not a feature at the beginning of this project. Can I add webyep to certain sections, add the content (text and images)?

Yes, you can add WebYep Elements easily also to already existing pages, thus adding editable regions to those pages.

But you can not automatically transfer the already existing (static) content into those editable elements.

The usual way is to:

  • add the WebYep Element to the page and at first leave the static content in place.
  • Then use copy/paste in the browser to transfer the old static content into the new editable regions.
  • Then remove the static content.
