GDOC

Post by abwiseman » Tue Oct 06, 2009 2:28 pm

Hi I have a problem with GDOC but don't know where to post the question. I use it on a number of sites but today none of them are working. Can someone help, please?

Did you publish the Google document correctly? Please see the Help text (accessible via the question mark icon in the RapidWeaver GDoc page) for details (under "Important:").

Yes. This Google Docs file has been displaying correctly for a long time - many months - until today when this error message appeared in its place. It's as though Google has done something.

Also tried with a newly created Docs file in a new GDoc web page and get the same error.

I have three sites that have also been running for a months with no trouble till today. Here are the url's:

http://www.atlantisrecruitment.com/
http://fifearms.co.uk/
http://kingsleyfinance.co.uk/

I've also tried to create a new page in rapidweaver to link to the pages but it's not working.

Regards

All seems to be working again. Elsewhere there have been reports of other Google problems. Not sure what is going on as yet.

Well, I may have spoken too soon. If you load a GDoc page successfully and then reload it immediately it comes up with the error message. A further reload and the GDoc page loads correctly. Hmmm!

Does seem that Google have sorted the problem out and service is back to usual. Still like to know what happened.

Unfortunately these incidents happen from time to time with the Google Docs service.

Please remember that this service from Google is still in Beta status!

It seems the Google API we where using to retreive the documents is now permanently broken. We will try to implement a new API as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience!

We have now adapted the GDoc plugin to the new Google Docs API. Please download version 0.96 from:

no matter what publishing status i set on google docs, the same list of 3 docs to choose from are all that shows up in rapidweaver, can't select any new docs - just downloaded latest gdoc plugin as well, no joy at all - now what?
