sharity mount device or resource busy error

Postby orahi001 » Mon Apr 06, 2009 9:48 pm

Hi,

After attempting to do a sharity mount, I'm getting message saying "device or resource busy". Anyone know how to resolve this? I've seen this message before when attempting to unmount but never when attempting to mount.

# sharity mount smb://labbackup01/backup_data /mnt/labbackup01
Device or resource busy.
Error Context: returned by mount task

thanks,

I fixed the problem by specifying a new mount point. Strangely, however, the mount point I specified the first time doesn't show that it's in use, but I guess it was.

Anyhow, problem resolved :D

I just encountered this on attempting "sharity mount" and discovered that it was unhappy because my current working directory was the mountpoint.

Hi,

I'm trying to do a sharity mount to mount a terastation network drive.

I'm getting a Device or resource busy message after my mount command. Please see output below...

# /usr/local/sharity3/bin/sharity mount smb://labbackup01/bakup_data /mnt/labbackup01

Device or resource busy.
Error Context: returned by mount task.

Anyone know what could cause device busy message upon a mount command? I've seen this before on unmount, but never on mount.

thanks,
