Sharity with Kerberos authentication

Postby Kuikrain » Mon Aug 02, 2010 8:59 am

How to use kerberos for authentication without installing third party software?
There is a sentence saying "If you want Kerberos for authentication and also integrate the Unix machines entirely into the Windows domain, consider Centrify's DirectControl." But if I just want Kerberos for authentication and do not want to integrate the Unix machines entirely into the Windows domain, do i need other software? for example, after i use "sharity login smb://my_server1/my_share1 -U MYDOMAIN\\user1" authenticated user1 in MYDOMAIN, if there is a share named my_share2 in my_server2, my_server1 and my_server2 are in the same domain "MYDOMAIN", with Kerberos module, so I don't need give username and password for accessing my_share2 in my_server2.
Is this possible? Is there a example for configuring this?
