Where are these email addresses coming from

A good example is the random-letters+numbers@craiglist.org, which show up in LaunchBar all the time. Where do they come from? I use gmail, and I DO NOT use it's contact manager/address book. I use the Apple Contacts application for managing my contacts. And I do not have a single craigslist.org email address in it.

Yes, there have been times I sent emails to craiglist when selling or buying something, but that is transient, and fast. How would LB grab the email address so quickly? Is it digging into my gmail contacts, where it stores a copy of email addresses as they are sent for easily and rapidly sending to them again in the future? Gmail eventually notices you have stopped talking o this person, and removes them from their "quick sender list". LB seems to keep them around forever.

Where do they come from and how do I get it to stop?

Thank you.

For anyone else who may run into this, I suspect it has to do with gmail syncing. The addresses are making it into gmails system where it stores temporary email addresses for quick use even if they are not in your contacts/address book.

The solution is simple, go into your LaunchBar Index,, select "Contacts", go to "Options",and un-check "Include Previous Email Recipients".

This should make those email addresses you rarely — if ever — have used before — not show up in launchBar anymore.
