Snippet for day of week, month, date, year

Post by marktheweinberg » Thu Jul 03, 2014 2:19 pm

I want to create a snippet for the day of the week, month, date, year. Example: Thursday, July 3, 2014
How do I create a snippet that will do this? I am new to Launchbar. Thank you.

This one is pretty easy. Download the attached file and save it to /library/Application Support/LaunchBar/Snippets. Once you do that, it's just a matter of calling the snippet in LaunchBar. (An easy way to navigate to that folder is bring up the Snippets list in LaunchBar, select an item, right-click and use Show in Finder in the contextual menu.

If you look at the file, you'll see a single-line. LaunchBar uses a standard date time convention. If you want to make any further tweaks, like adding a time, it's pretty easy. A Google search for PHP Date and Time format will bring up a document like:

Code: Select all

<date l yyyy-MM-dd>
Current Day and
(210 Bytes) Downloaded 150 times
