Launchbar - Folder icons missing

Post by petro » Fri Nov 02, 2007 9:35 pm

I'm running LB 4.3.2 and MacOS 10.5 Leopard. After my upgrade, the generic icon for a folder doesn't show up in my launchbar search listings.

I moved the ~/Library/Caches/LaunchBar/Icons.cache to the trash, and restarted Launchbar, but no luck.

Here's a screencap: Image

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Deleting the Icons.cache file should indeed help to fix such issues. I don't why it didn't in your case.

Solved

I shut down LB, deleted all cache files, and restarted. Seems to have solved it. Maybe it still happened because I didn't shut down LB before removing the icons cache file?

Yes, that's a possible cause. Maybe LaunchBar recreated the cache file from it's in-memory cache after you've deleted it.

It's always a good idea to quit an application prior to deleting its cache files.
