Several security dialogs every reboot on Mavericks

Post by coldrick » Fri Oct 25, 2013 11:27 pm

Just installed 10.9, running LaunchBar Version 5.6.1 (1019). Every time I reboot, I get requests to confirm or deny access to several keychain items: contacts, calendar, and one other I can't recall. Don't really care about calendar, but contacts I use often, so I want it indexed.

Known problem? Any fix available?

Regards,
David

I agree. I have granted LaunchBar all the permissions it asks for. But I still get the same dialogs every time I restart LaunchBar. This is unacceptable.

I fixed it! Throw LB away. Download and install a completely fresh copy. That's it.

I think the problem is that there's something wrong with the Sparkle self-updating system. The console messages I already cited gave me a clue that the system wasn't believing this was the same application.

Same problem, same solution: thanks, Matt! Really appreciate you doing the legwork on that one. ;-)

Ace. Simplicity and sorted what looked to be a potential nightmare. Thank you :D

Do I just delete the main app, or all pref files? Thanks.

I tried a reinstall, yet I still get these log messages.
