Action > Emails with > Airmail

I've begun using Airmail (v 1.0.5). It appears that the feature allowing me to invoke Launchbar to send a file attachment (Instant send?) doesn't recognize Airmail when it's set to the default email client.

Am I misunderstanding how this preference is set in Launchbar? Should I be able to have Airmail set as my default email reader and expect Launchbar to recognize that? If not, is there a script I can modify or write that would allow me to have Launchbar recognize Airmail as my default email reader?

I can confirm that LB's built-in Actions and Services work for me with Airmail without any customisation.

When Airmail is set as my default mail client, the "Compose Email" action creates a new blank message in Airmail. To send a file attachment I can use the "Send with Airmail" service. I'm not sure if LB has any other mail-related actions or services.

I'm using Airmail 1.0.5 and 1.0.6b, LaunchBar 5.5.2 and OS X 10.8.4.

One niggle (not LB's fault) is that LB describes "Send with Airmail" an an "Airmail Beta Service", which is what I want because I prefer the beta version. However, when I invoke this service it launches the release version of Airmail. I can't locate this service -- it isn't in my Services folder and it doesn't seem to be part of the Airmail program bundle -- but as I say that is nothing to do with LB.

The "Compose Email" action, on the other hand, is under LB's control and so works correctly with the beta.

Yes, those actions work, but in Preferences->Actions->Options->Create emails with, Airmail is not an option. This prevents me from sending attachments straight to people in my contacts.

i just switched over to Airmail today and noticed the same problem. Airmail seems to be gaining a following, so it would be good to have official support. is there documentation on how to make a custom script as a workaround in the meantime?

I would love to see Launchbar support the Airmail app!
Or if some computer wizard could wright a script for it ...

Same for me. LB should offer an option to enter the Applications folder and select the user's preferred mail client.
