Use of Snippets

Post by beegee » Tue Jun 11, 2013 3:01 pm

In the new version 5.5 there's the new feature "Snippet". Sounds great - but how can I activate them?
In the "New" menu, "Snippets" are greyed out - any ideas?!?

Thanks,
beegee

Have you read the Snippets topic in the LaunchBar Help?

yes - there it says, that you have to "Add Snippet" action. But in my case, "Snippets" is greyed out. Or do I misunderstand the meaning and can't find the place where to add the Snippet?

attached a screenshot of what I mean...

Ahh, now I see what you mean. I'm also unable to add (or delete) Snippets from the Index window (with or without a Snippets shortcut enabled). The Add Snippet action can be used to add them but they can't be deleted from within LB.

Do you the Snippets checkbox under Keyboard Shortcuts in Preferences… > Shortcuts? It still doesn't matter here with 5.5.1:

I'm also unable to add (or delete) Snippets from the Index window (with or without a Snippets shortcut enabled).

I too am totally baffled by how you are supposed to activate this feature.

"The Add Snippet action can be used to add them..." -- how? The only way I can see is to create files in Application Support manually.

Have you tried the "Add Snippet" action (described in LaunchBar Help)? That method works for me; other don't.

Hello all,

After a long time while not using LaunchBar, I'm back !

I am wondering if LaunchBar manages multi-lines snippets ? For example, a mail signature

Or, to express the same idea in other words, can a carriage return be saved un a snippet ?

Thanks for your help
Francois
