Launchbar can't send to Sparrow

I've set Sparrow to be my default mail client. 'Instant Send' doesn't work anymore. I suspect that it's because the interface that LaunchBar uses with Mail isn't the same as with Sparrow. I've filed a feature request with Sparrow, but I'd love it if someone at ObDev would talk to the Sparrow folks about this (i.e. what does LaunchBar need Sparrow to do to get this thing working).

If there's a workaround with Launchbar and Sparrow I'd love to hear about it! Thanks!

I have the same issue. It works file with Mail.app, but not Sparrow.

I have the same problem. Launchbar will say send to Sparrow, but then open a new message in Mail.app.

I understand the OP's problem is this: You instand-send a selection (text or file) to Launchbar, then invoke an "Send e-mail to contact X" action. Instead of a new e-mail in Sparrow, a new e-mail is opened in Mail.app with the selection attached or inserted. I have this very problem. Very annoying, indeed.

What still works for me, is this scheme: Instand-send a selection to Launchbar, then invoke the action "Open with Sparrow". Now a new compose window opens in Sparrow with the selection attached or inserted. It's now possible to add the recipient's address from Sparrow's address book.

I find the latter method less convenient, though. I'd vote for the first described behaviour to be (re-)enabled.
