How to Access Clipboard History via Applescript

Post by signupsammy » Sat Apr 10, 2010 5:49 pm

Hi - I'm wondering if there's a way to directly access specific LB clipboard history items via appleScript.

For example, I want to paste into a textedit document, clipboard history item 2 followed by item 5 followed by item 1. I can cobble together a script using system events and keystrokes, but I'm hoping there's a better way.

Thanks.

I would very much like to know if this is possible too. I need an Applescript I'm making to be able to grab the 2nd item in the clipboard history.

Can this be done? Please let us know.

I guess we can take that as a "no"?

LaunchBar's Clipboard History & Applescript

My posts in another thread was ignored as was the original poster. So I figure I might as well start my own thread. If it's not possible or if it's in the works or if it works now is all I'm asking here.

I need an Applescript I'm making to be able to grab the 2nd item in the clipboard history. Can this be done? Please let us know.

Dev, been trying to get this answer for almost a year now. Why do you even have these forums if you don't seem to read them at all? Do we have to beg and/or send you more money? I already paid for the app, should I pay again for support?

Dev, maybe you should just delete these forums?

Wow, it's been years without an answer. Dev, I take it these forums are here for no reason. You should delete the forums and quit wasting your customer's time.

As stated in the guidelines, the forums are intended for user to user communication. If you need a timely answer from one of us, please contact us via email (simply referring to an existing forums thread is fine).

Regarding your question: Unfortunately it is not possible to address certain items in the clipboard history via AppleScript at the moment. Though it is something on our list for a future version.
