Search templates in a new window

Post by George the Flea » Thu Aug 02, 2007 8:56 pm

Currently whenever I run a search template the website opens in the current active window, overwriting whatever I was doing there. I've lost a couple forms when I went to look up a word (thank goodness for Wordpress's auto-saving functionality).

Is there any way to force the search templates to open a new window/tab? I looked through the preferences and configuration but couldn't find anything. Unless I can get search templates to open in a new window, I'm going to have to switch back to iSeek for my searching. :(

I'm using the Safari 3 beta with SafariStand and Saft installed, which could be screwing something up. Just let me know if this is the case.

Thanks for your help!

I'm only using Safari 2, soo maybe it's a problem with the beta, but:

There's an option in LaunchBar's preferences, under the 'Actions' Pane which says 'Open URLs in current Safari window or tab'

You should check whether that option is unchecked before switching to iSeek ;-)

regards,
Ludwig
