Set Extension for Append Text Enabled Files

Post by milkypostman » Sun Feb 06, 2011 10:58 pm

I am using flat text files for my notes and todo, but I am using markdown so I name those files with the extension 'md'. Thus, the "Append Text" action doesn't work properly with those files and they are the exact files I'd like to use that functionality with. Is there a way to make Launchbar recognize ".md" files as being text files?

I would love to see that feature. My textfiles also use the .md-extension.

Here is what I could find: http://macscripter.net/viewtopic.php?id=17461. But it's not as nice as the default behavior.

It looks like:

a) the action is hardcoded in LB
b) one cannot update the definition of Text files (which hopefully would have allowed the Append to action to work)
