Feature Request: Set iCal event Location

Post by Was » Wed Jan 26, 2011 4:56 pm

Would be really helpful if Launchbar would allow us to set an ical event location, e.g. using '|' to delimit it.

Also some of the features of QuickCal desktop:

Specifically the visual feedback...

Actually QuickCal works pretty good together with LaunchBar … or any other application launcher. Of course it would be nice to have that included in LaunchBar already but in usability there is really no big difference. Just enable "Launch directly to event creation and exit when done" in QuickCals prefs.

ptujec: I thought it was a shame to be running two programs with different interfaces when one of them can (almost) fulfil the only function of the other. But as you suggest, it's silly to expect Launchbar to keep up with the functionality of an app dedicated to one thing. And while we're talking about it, QuickCal is well worth downloading.

I asked for the Launchbar feature to be modified to include a location over a year ago. There's been a paucity of new features released, but this is an awfully easy one to do and should have been one of them.

This is in the new beta now.
Still I prefer QuickCal. It integrates quite well. There is now even a custom URI scheme.

Same here. And I can finally use the iOS 4.x version after recently acquiring a 3GS to replace my iPod touch 1G.

Still haven't figured out how I want to handle To Do items since iCal's don't sync with iOS (AFAIK), but that's another matter …

That would be cool, if it's possible to do.
