It invades my privacy, when Launchbar indexes my safari & firefox history

I am aware that I can stop this by constantly clearing my browser history

But can i disable the indexing to these APPS permanently

Thank You

Open the LaunchBar Index window with Index > Show Index (Option-Command-I, in LB5) to make indexing changes.

I did that and unticked the boxes for safari, firefox and a few more apps

then i saved the changes

& Did "index" "update index" "all rules"

and restarted launchbar

but still my browser history is showing in launchbar

Hmm, I can't reproduce it; there's definitely a difference with Safari History indexing enabled/disabled. Are you sure it's browser history and not bookmarks or something else that might look like history? Try typing Shift-Command-I (Show in Index) when a suspected history item is selected and the Index window should open showing where it is.

Did you ever resolve this, waynerrr?

From this description it's not clear to me if you actually disabled (or deleted) the Safari History and Firefox History indexing rules (which are listed in the sidebar of the index window), or maybe just disabled the applications from your Applications indexing rule.

The latter won't stop indexing that application's history, so make sure to disable the indexing rules in the sidebar.
