how to index keyboardviewer from /system/Library/Components?

Post by buckthorn » Thu Mar 12, 2009 8:11 pm

How do I index an item such as the keyboardviewer. I can use send from Finder selection to open this file:

/System/Library/Components/KeyboardViewer.component/Contents/SharedSupport/KeyboardViewerServer.app

But then Launchbar wants to know which app to use to open it, which i believe is here:

/System/Library/Components/KeyboardViewer.component/Contents/SharedSupport/KeyboardViewerServer.app/Contents/MacOS/KeyboardViewerServer

but Launchbar can't navigate to this -- it's all greyed out. Can anyone help?

I used Finder to navigate here:

/System/Library/Components/CharacterPalette.component/Contents/SharedSupport

and

/System/Library/Components/KeyboardViewer.component/Contents/SharedSupport

Then I simply dragged the .apps in there into LaunchBar's index. LaunchBar opens them just like any other application for me.

Really should be included in the default index, imho.

Ludwig
