Slow Startup

Post by luckylindy » Wed Jan 24, 2007 1:44 pm

Launchbar (4.1.1) seems to be taking longer to load at startup. I know when it is ready to go when the Launchbar window drops down and then scoots back up. It takes over a minute for that to happen now, whereas it used to happen in about 10 seconds. I am on a Macbook 2Ghz. Is there a library or data file that may have become corrupted, or a cache to clean?

You might turn on the "Show and hide Indexing Progress automatically" option in LaunchBar's General preferences, so you can observe any ongoing indexing activity.

Note also that the startup time at login may be affected significantly by other applications that are also started automatically. Please check your Login Items in System Preferences > Accounts if there are lots of other programs and background processes scheduled for automatic startup.
