how to disable clipmerge sound effects

Post by jeltsin » Mon Dec 15, 2008 4:26 am

Is there an option, like you have with Instant Send, to enable/disable the sound effect when using ClipMerge (double pressing [command-c])?

My request goes into the same direction...

...actually I would like to have an option to change the sound of ClipMerge.

I looked in the resources folder of the application and I couldn't find the sound file. So I assume it's merged together with the application code or something like that.

There doesn't even have to be a preference pane for changing the sound for me.
Simply putting the sound file changeable for the geeks like me would be ok, too. ;-)

Code: Select all

LaunchBar.app/Contents/Resources/ClipMerge.m4a

Hey, thanks for the fast response.

Whoops, somehow I haven't seen the ClipMerge.m4a sound file. I only searched for .aiff or .wav

But there it is!!

Thanks a lot. :)

Personally I changed the sound to a short "affirmative". It's a voice from the ship computer of the Enterprise - StarTrek The next generation.

I got the sound from this site:

It's great. Now I will use ClibMerge a lot more often. :D

Starting with beta 3 (released a few minutes ago) you can put your custom ClipMerge sound file(s) to

Code: Select all

~/Library/Application Support/LaunchBar/Sounds/ClipMerge/

You have to create this folder if it doesn't yet exist. If this folder contains more than one sound file, the sound effect will be chosen randomly.
