Memory Allocation Launchbar

Post by axello » Mon Jan 08, 2007 3:22 pm

After a couple of days, Launchbar gobbles up heaps of memory space. Is this all used for indexing, or is there a memory leak somewhere?

I can't post screenshots, but I have the information from "MemoryCell":

Private: 155,9 MB
Real:161,2 MB
Shared: 20,3 MB
Virtual Private Mem: 176,6 MB
Virtual Mem: 387,5 MB

This makes Launchbar, a utility, the biggest real memory gobbling application on my Mac (I don't use Photoshop). In the VM list, it's on the fifth place. Doest it really need this much memory? It seems a bit greedy.

After I restart my Mac, it drops to more appropriate levels of

Private: 6.7 MB
Real:11.6 MB
Shared: 18.7 MB
Virtual Private Mem: 33.9 MB
Virtual Mem: 243.7 MB

I will see if this rises on its own after a couple of days...
