mapping forward arrow to another key

Postby e2o » Fri Mar 16, 2018 1:02 am

Hello. I just moved to a full size keyboard, and the forward arrow key is a lot more difficult to reach with my pinky than on my old Apple wireless keyboard, where it was just below shift. (nonetheless: Yay! Das Keyboard!) I use the forward arrow a lot in LaunchBar for file system browsing, and I'd like to make another key the equivalent of the forward arrow key (I'd like to use the semicolon key for forward arrow, but only in LaunchBar). I tried mapping the key with a Keyboard Maestro macro, but it seems the when you invoke the LaunchBar menu, the LaunchBar app doesn't really become the foreground application, so a Keyboard Maestro set for the application LaunchBar doesn't work. Is there any other way I can assign keys in LaunchBar?
Thanks!

derp. I just found the preference for Alternate Arrow Keys for Browsing. That *might* work, but I'd much prefer Semicolon to Control+L for something I hammer on constantly.
