High Sierra Recent Items

Hi, All.
I just wanted to confirm that I have a High Sierra problem or a LaunchBar issue. When I call up an app in Launchbar (Let's say Numbers) and hit the right arrow key I used to see all the recent files. I no longer get this and I think it stopped working when I updated to High Sierra. Is anybody else finding the same thing?

I'm seeing the same issue while on High Sierra. Where I used to see recent files, I now just see metadata related to the app.

I've seen something else odd since upgrading to High Sierra. I use the emjoi index in launchbar quite a bit but since upgrading to High Sierra, they're all gone except the vulcan salute!

Could you look at your launchbar index and see if your emoji list is intact?

Haha, so weird. Why that one?? Hope they fix both of these issues soon, I use these LB features quite a bit.

LaunchBar fails to sync the menu of "recent documents"

Dear LaunchBar developers and users,

I have been using extensively for many years the access to the recent documents, which is provided by LaunchBar for MacOS applications.

Recently, I have realized the recent documents, which I are correctly displayed in the "File" menu of MacOS applications (for example, Preview, Ketnote etc.), are not anymore synced with the list of recent documents displayed in LaunchBar.

Note that I have recently upgraded the system to High Sierra. My current version of LaunchBar is 6.9.1.

Has someone experienced a similar problem? Is there any solution/fix? Or is it rather a bug already known to the developers? Any thought would be much appreciated.

Andrea

I have also had this problem. I documented it and sent a report to Obdev support, and received a reply thanking me, acknowledging the problem, and saying that it would be looked into. That was a couple of weeks ago, so I'm hoping there is a fix soon, as this is one of the LB features I use most.

I also contacted support about this issue, but never received a reply.

It works on one of my Macs, but not the other. The first has been running LaunchBar for a few years and the recent documents started working again in High Sierra with the version 6.9.1 update. My other machine is a 1 week old Mac with a fresh install of High Sierra (10.13.1) and LaunchBar 6.9.1. Recent documents does not work on that one. I just see metadata related to the application.

Hello!
one other thing
sometimes the issue is consistent and I'll go days where the issue will persist, then all the sudden it will work and i'll see my recent docs in alfred.
right now all my recent docs are available in alfred - but i expect in a few hours that will change.
the only thing that i can think of that's differnet is that i recently rebooted (and i normally leave this mac running 24/7)
maybe there's something to that?
point is: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. very odd...
Cheers, Bestia
