[LB6 Action] Spotlight (Integrated) [UPDATED]
Re: [LB6 Action] Spotlight (Integrated) [UPDATED]
It's possible to sort the selected items by date in LaunchBar with CMD-Shift-RightArrow

Ah, sounds promising. How would I do that? Is it easy to do?

Thanks, but that doesn't work with these Spotlight searches (for me). It only seems to work with 'regular items' found when searching LaunchBar's index.
Re: [LB6 Action] Spotlight (Integrated) [UPDATED]
I select some/all results then Shift-Left (I think) after that the collection can be sorted with CMD-Shift-Right

Yes, that works for me. Great tip, thanks!

Holy shit! That’s a great feature I had no idea about! Thanks!

Thanks for a great Action! I just installed it, and it seems to work well when I select the Action directly.
ISSUE:
But when I send a Folder to the Action, select the Action, and press RETURN, it does NOT activate the input for the Spotlight Search.
I am running LaunchBar 6.8 (6140) on macOS 10.11.6.
Maybe this is related to this issue/fix:
v2.1.2
@nbjahan nbjahan released this on Jan 8
Fixed a bug where send a folder to action was not working anymore
Support for typing search path as live feedback
Downloads
2.36 MBSpotlight.Search-2.1.2.lbaction
I have verified that I have Ver 2.1.2.
How do I fix this?
Here is a video which demos the issue:

Thanks.

Awesome action!
Is there any way to update this to update results in realtime using the "-live" argument for mdfind?

Re: [LB6 Action] Spotlight (Integrated) [UPDATED]
Hi guys,
for me this action does not work at all. I hope you can help me understanding what I do wrong. I am really interested in this function because I am missing the opportunity to search my emails with launchbar itself. But if I enter anything that is also the subject of an email the suggestions show only emails as .emlx files and the file's name (a cryptic number..). But what is worse is that when I try, let's say, search a contact's name and add 'kind:email' the action only results an error.log or does not find anything at all..
I really don't know what the problem is.. hope you have any ideas.
Thanks,
Christian

Re: [LB6 Action] Spotlight (Integrated) [UPDATED]
Hi Christian,
Yes, I’m seeing the same here. It shows the mail messages by file name as found on disk. But at that occasion I noticed that my “normal” Spotlight search is currently buggy, too. (That is, it finds some mails but it displays neither filename nor subject.)
The only search that actually works is Spotlight in a Finder window…
I will reboot at the next occasion, to see if this helps.
This works fine for me. (Well, apart from the filename display issue.)

Update:
I rebooted the Mac this morning. Spotlight is working normally again, listing all found mails by Subject, but the Spotlight Search action still shows only the file names of found mail messages (e.g. 1006229.emlx). Honestly, I don’t remember if it ever showed the Subject before. But in any case, it should.
In addition, some messages found by “normal” Spotlight are not found by the action.
