Timer LB6

Post by prenagha » Fri May 16, 2014 5:29 pm

Action that takes an input like "Turn off oven 15m" and creates a timer in LaunchBar. After the delay time has passed LaunchBar will show you your reminder message in a large type window with an accompanying sound.

Very handy timer. Would be even better with a confirmation notification right after setting the timer. Is this possible?

Done, but LB not getting focus back for some reason. All code looks right. Anyway the confirm is in place in version 2.1

Request:

would it be difficult to add an ablility to get an overview of running timers and a possibility to cancel them?

The action uses the timer API built-in to launchbar which does not expose a list of the running timers nor the ability to cancel a timer sadly.

Well, another question then:

there is an extension for alred2: http://geekzone.philosophicalzombie.net ... /eggtimer2

I looked into it, and it seems to be built mostly around a bunch of shell scripts and some system calls for notification. How difficult is it to port something like that to LB6? Does anyone have a experience?

It also runs its own launchd process to do all the timing... certainly could be done, but a fair amount of work
