Assign a shortcut to a file?

Post by werkstatt » Thu May 05, 2016 2:03 pm

I'm not sure if this is possible:
Can I assign a shortcut to a specific file?

I use certain documents very often, their name begin with "PL-", and thus it would be wonderful if I could get them through launcher, then enter pl and have them on top of the list…

The nearest solution to this use case I found is:

  1. Index > User defined lists.
  2. Create a new one, e.g. "PL documents".
  3. On the "Index" tab, add the files you want to have at your fingertips by dragging them to the window area or using the [+] icon in the lower left edge of the pane. Assign suitable names the lend them for searching in the "Name" column.
  4. On the "Options" tab, either uncheck the availability as sub-search only. (You may want to use the subseqrch-only feature if "PL" gives you many other choices as well.)
