Basic Question; Little Snitch & OS X Firewall

Post by rossasaurus » Sun Dec 02, 2007 5:15 am

Just trying to understand how Mac Firewall and LittleSnitch interact?
Does OS X Firewall restrict Only incoming connections, while LittleSnitch restricts Only Outgoing connections?

Or, does OS X Firewall restrict incoming and outgoing connections? If both in and out, who has priority on Outgoing, OS X Firewall or LittleSnitch?

thanks

It is like that. LS defines rules for outbound connections and OSX firewall for inbound connections.

Furthermore, through the "services" tab of the "sharing" preference, you can define the services that you want available on your computer, independently if inbound or outbound.
