Feedburner and LittleSnitch

Post by globetrotterdk » Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:50 pm

I purchased LittleSnitch yesterday and started getting the following message from LittleSnitch:

"The application "curl" wants to connect to feeds.feedburner.com ( on TCP port 80 (http)."

Now, I admit that I am a newbie to OS X and to Internet security, but as this is now the second day in a row that I have received this message from LittleSnitch, it looks to me like Feedburner has managed to infect my system somehow, without me knowingly downloading or installing any software.

How do I rectify this issue?

Nobody infected you.

You just have an application trying to connect to a feed on feedburner using curl.

I can't tell you which app is doing that, but it doesn't look like a big deal to me. Feedburner is just a service caching rss and atom feeds.
