slow boot after LS upgrade install

Post by greensnow » Sat Aug 25, 2018 8:56 am

After upgrade installation of LS 5188 my MBP would wait for 5+ seconds during reboot at the LS kext loading (macOS 10.13.6)

I had to use Onyx to rebuild the Kernel cache, rebooted as admin (not sure if that is necessary), then back as normal user.

No longer have boot delay as LS 5188 is loaded.

Problem in the Kernel rebuild with the latest LS installation?

Hi All,

I am having the same problem, sometimes takes 20 seconds to start sometimes 5 minutes. But it does eventually start.
On Build 5188.

I think the fault is in the boot caches somewhere.

Had to un-install until this gets fixed!

I had that problem, checked LS rules and there were 25 or so connections that had happened before logon. Once I sorted those out those rules restarts are not so painfully long. LS still ads 5 seconds I would estimate to my boot time.
