Little Snitch corrupted my OS (SafariShared.framework missing)

Postby angrycustomer » Fri Jun 15, 2018 11:43 am

After installation of Little Snitch 4.1 on my Mac running 10.12.6 I've had major issues with my system. I was unable to login with my main user account anymore (the progress bar got stuck halfway) and was not even able to uninstall the program due to 'unexpected errors'.

After finally being able to remove LS by manually deleting all associated files through the Recovery terminal my system is running somewhat stable again. The only problem remaining (for now!) is that Safari will not start anymore due to the disappearance of /Library/PrivateFrameworks/SafariShared.framework.

@obdev, can you confirm that installing Little Snitch messes with the SafariShared framework? If so, can you give me advice on how to restore it? Are there more system frameworks touched by LS, and will I thus run into other non-functional programs?
