Rule without a process?

Postby skycrzr » Fri Nov 10, 2017 7:36 pm

Hi there,

Was just wondering if a rule will still work, even if it is not associated with a process.

For example I want to block all possible VNC connections (5900-5905) to my computer. I created a rule for each, but Little Snitch is telling me my rule is broken because it does not contain a valid location to a process. Can't I just make a rule to block a port or port range coming from anywhere?

Side note: I searched and searched for the location of the VNC service in OSX Sierra... I can't find it anywhere... I suppose if someone knows the location to that I could just put the path in and fix the rule too.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Sky, please copy+paste the following into the Configuration:

action: deny
direction: incoming
process: any
destination: any
port: 5900-5905
