Please Put back the function of cursor hover to show Network Monitor

Post by Brandy » Sun Jul 02, 2017 12:31 pm

It's very convenient that hovering the cursor on menu bar monitor to show the Network Monitor...I know we have the new features in the 4.0 version, such as the Map and the Summary Information. But if we put these three view from right to left sort as the Monitor, the Map, the Summary, then we can still put the Monitor on the most right windows when we hover the cursor on menu bar monitor. I'm sure it is a very convenient function to use trackpad or mouse instead of keyboard shortcut, and we can still keep the keyboarded shortcut if we will. That's all, thank you very much...

I want to second @Brandy's comment!

I really miss the hover-show-Network-Monitor-feature on the Menu Bar icon of Little Snitch 3.x in version 4. It was a very convenient and quick way to check what is causing big download-/upload-rates, etc. I look at the Menu Bar icon, see that something is not OK, and instantly hover my mouse cursor over the icon, but nothing happens. I thought my muscle memory will adapt to the new keyboard shortcut, but it does not seem to stick.

So please, bring back the hover functionality!

In general: Thanks for this awesome tool! Happy to be a paying customer! :)

Also, it seems much slower to load with the world map. Perhaps because it's beta, I don't know.
Also lot of kernel_task/kext cpu used after some while and need to reboot. The popup messages seem more annoying too.

I would also like to emphasize the importance of the hovering feature. To me personally it is the quickest and most reliable way to figure out what/who is creating traffic with whom and when. Please make the hover feature at least an option.
Thank you and keep up the great work!

I hated that.
If you really have to bring it back, please make it optional.

Optional might be a good idea. Presently, you can cause the Network Monitor to appear from the menu icon, or by pressing one particular key combination. Add a third, selectable, option: hovering with the mouse pointer.

I also second that request.
It's a feature I used a lot, and hovering it to see what's happening was perfect : fast and efficient.
Please bring it back, as an option if needed, but bring it back...

If not i think i'd downgrade to LS3

Nice to know I wasn't imagining things!
I thought it was missing when I upgraded and checked 4.01 and the option is back! saved me 2 mouse clicks!
