Re: is usb connected (the software method)
I'm not familiar with the midi interface so I assume it gets power from the midi bus? Normally you get power from the USB so you are always connected to the usb. Though in the event your are not, you could watch for a pin change on the usb data lines, I'd do it wrapped in disable/enable interrupts. ...

getting data faster
From what I know: low-spped is limited to 8 bytes per poll. Poll times are set by by the os windows says 10ms but is really 8 and linux can do 2ms ect... I have a need to draw to a LCD and with a res of: 48 dot width × 32 dot height. I want to draw the image under 16 ms or so. 16 bytes is not going ...

Re: How to create an out interrupt endpoint?
look at the hid-data example. hid-data This example demonstrates how the HID class can be misused to transfer arbitrary data over HID feature reports. This technique is of great value on Windows because no driver DLLs are needed (the hid-custom-rq example still requires the libusb-win32 DLL, althoug...

Re: mac question multi device.
further investigation reviles its some type of intended feature in a mac. A few other device have the same effect. In linux you just set the 50-joystick.conf in X11 to false but I dont know how to do that on a mac. Mavericks does not have this issue however. I'd really like to know how to force a ma...

mac question multi device.
Has anyone written a mutli device for a mac and succeed? I mean the dual report type not composite.
I made a mouse / game pad that worked on linux and PC's but not mac. On the mac ( osx ) it is seen as a mouse and works by moving the mouse via joystick analogs.

__flash as an alternative to PROGMEM
Lots of talk on this with the new avr-gcc 4.7
No need for any #include and no need for any pgm_read*() nonsense. __flash is a new qualifier added to the language, it turns GCC support from explicit to implicit.
see here for more details.

Any impact on v-usb if I made the changes?

Re: Metaboard - Help a beginner get started with v-usb + Ard
Help is pretty infrequent around here but in time you get some help I'm sure. 1/4) From what I know you will need to let the Arduino do the boot loading ( as you mentioned in 4 ). You should not need an isp but its a nice to have for sure. If you write to the chip with an isp your by passing the Ard...

Re: Metaboard - Help a beginner get started with v-usb + Ard
Is this what you are doing? m 9. Can I flash the firmware to the Atmega328 using my Arduino Uno board and the Arduino IDE? And then physically move the Atmega328 to the circuit that I built? From what I know, if you program with the Arduino you need to use the Arduino. If you program at chip level (...

If it shows up I can't thing of anything that would be wrong. I assume you are testing with a controller app and it sees the device? Did you test port c pins?

Re: Vusb Mame Panel is not working - Unknown Device error
I dont know anything about Atmega32's but when you see that error its something in the USB side of the electronics. Most commonly the diodes. For example 1/4 watt diodes do not work in atmega158's and require 1/2 watt diodes. Also if the source code uses timers, these timer location may change from ...

I would agree a fresh start is best. A simpler version is always best for the programmer and the help.

Re: usbFunctionSetup and usbFunctionWrite in action?
Ok I see you didnt customize it, you left the default setup. Well I cant really help you go about it by answering your questions but consider. 1) You wont get this to work win only on endpoint. You need a control in and out. I also think ( don't quote me on this ) that you need the default that as w...
