Re: It took a month, but finally got VUSB working!
I believe your correct, they were sold as zener diodes. I also had seeed studios assemble a few broads and they used ss4148 where a zener 3.6 volt was called for. Thx for pointing that out.

Re: It took a month, but finally got VUSB working!
yeah I to ran in to issues with zerners the 1n747a work fine but the 1N4148 do not. This is only true on some computers and using a hub makes both zerners work... So confusing! In this case both are 3.6 1/2 watt, have not found the aspect cause the issue in the data sheet yet. Glad you got it to wor...

Re: ATmega16 16PU -- 16Mhz -- Device Not Recognized
Ok the problem came back. And I looked in to it a bit. the zeners I have that works are 1n747a. I also have a 1N4148. They are so small I can not read the middle numbers under the highest lens I have but I have the order slip and they are 1N4148. Looking in to it a bit the 1n4148 sold to me as zDiod...

Re: ATmega16 16PU -- 16Mhz -- Device Not Recognized
Correct I was referring to the zeners. I read that as a 168, I'm not sure about the 16. Sorry for the mix up. May want to check if the zeners are 1 watts, if so try 1/2 watts. Yes an external hub.

Re: ATmega16 16PU -- 16Mhz -- Device Not Recognized
I'm not sure if you said you DO have a external crystal or Dont? But... I'm told you will need a external crystal as USB has some pretty picky timing. Also make sure to use 1/2 watt diodes with the mega168. The surface mount diodes very commonly dont work. I had this issue going on for a long time u...

Re: ATMEGA328P on V-USB
Right but whats the equivalent to a 328? If you compile for the 168 wont you be out the extra space? AFAIK there is no non p for 328.

help seding a report to host.
I need to send a report to my host in response to a get report. In my usbFunctionSetup I have this. if((rq->bmRequestType & USBRQ_TYPE_MASK) == USBRQ_TYPE_CLASS) { /* class request type */ if(rq->bRequest == USBRQ_HID_GET_REPORT) { if ( rq->wValue.bytes[1] == 3 )//feature { if ( rq->wValue.bytes...

Re: HID & Force Feedback
Ok learned bit here.. On start up we get c,4 stop all effects. Once I run an effect I see that come in. For example I create a constant force and I see 1,1 see report below.. 0x09,0xAB, // Usage Undefined 0xA1,0x02, // Collection Datalink 0x85,0x01, // Report ID 1 0x09,0x25, // Usage Effect Type 0xA...

Re: HID & Force Feedback
Yes I have a FFB device with no reg settings. I can receive a FFB command, but I'm not using it right so any thing coming in triggers my motor. I had to use the descriptor from that other forum. I just added a few buttons and analogs. Not sure why my descriptor is not right. Its by no means perfect ...

did you do this.. unsigned usbFunctionSetup(uchar data[8]) not char usbFunctionSetup(uchar data[8]) unsigned usbFunctionDescriptor(struct usbRequest *rq) not char usbFunctionDescriptor(struct usbRequest *rq) did you add #define USB_CFG_LONG_TRANSFERS 1 Did you apply the bug fix?
