Quicksilver's 'comma trick' to select multiple files gets my vote. People already know how to use it & are familiar with it. But the ⌘A function to select all the files in a selected folder or smart folder could also work well as an addition to the 'comma trick'. Both have slightly differe...

I don't use Get Info from Default Folder X's menu bar, I just use Command-I from within Default Folder X.

That's obviously part of Default Folder X, so I doubt you could do it from LaunchBar. But I don't see why you'd want to? Command-I offers the same info as the Default Folder X version.

Yes, I use Default Folder X. It's a great piece of software
(And I made the Leopard Finder folder icon that's used in the current version :) ).

Yes, you can do this (without Default Folder X).

Bring up the file or folder in LaunchBar then hit Command-I (This is also the standard key in Finder fir 'Get Info').

Show progress when copying/moving files

I've noticed that when copying or moving large files to a different location in LaunchBar that it freezes for a while & also shows as 'Not Responding' in Activity Monitor. After a while I realised that it was working (hadn't crashed) & only 'not responding' while it was moving or copying the...

Remove an indexing rule, rename 'Root' & Add to Config?

I assigned an abbreviation to a folder, but now when I type in the abbreviation (PEN for 'Pending Business') it's shown twice in the results list. One version says it's an indexing rule (I guess because I assigned an abbreviation), & the other version says the location of the folder to the right...

Yea, after switching to LaunchBar this is a feature that I'm really missing I'll often launch 3 or 4 apps at once & used to use the comma trick with QS. CTRL-Space, 'typename' , Return for each app seems really awkward & slow. Plus the fact that you can't select multiple files (from within L...

You can use the "Assign Abbreviation" command for that purpose. Select the script using a somewhat longer abbreviation, then press Command-Option-A and enter the desired short abbreivation "Q". Thanks I did this to train it just use the letter Q. After using this for a couple of...

This would be great, I'll look forward to this! If/when it's implemented please add an option to 'Paste as plain text'. Butler does it well where you paste & it pastes 'as is' retaining any formatting. But if you hold down the Option key while pasting (selecting a pasteboard slot or if you hit a...

What about right arrowing into Finder shows the currently open windows?
As I said before when I have different windows in different Spaces, it can be difficult to know what windows are open & where they are.
